Each city, each town, hides treasures that wait to be discovered.
DAY 1 : LIBOURNE

Late afternoon arrival at the hotel in central Libourne, located in the heart of your excursion program. Welcome, settling in, dinner and night.

DAY 2 : FARM OF FORGOTTEN VEGETABLES- BORDEAUX

Meeting with your guide after breakfast and off to the Farm of Forgotten Vegetables,, a farm located near Libourne, as well as a cannery and a most surprising

"amusement park". It is also one of the most visited places of the Gironde. It grows, markets and develops several hundreds of forgotten vegetables, plants and fruits : Wild Nettle, Dandelion, Sorrel, Bladder Cherry, Elder, Perigord Verjus, Red and Pattypan Squash, Purslane. Tasting and 11 o'clock departure for a visit of Bordeaux, lunch then a tour of the city and a walk around Old Bordeaux : Notre- Dame church – exterior of the Grand Theatre – the 18th century Place de la Bourse - the St Pierre quarter and the 15th century Porte Cailhau. Back to the hotel, dinner and night.

DAY 3 : ARCACHON - CAP FERRET - DUNE OF PILAT

Departure for the Arcachon Basin. Boarding for a one-and-a-quarter hour cruise along Bird Island, the Oyster Beds, the Cap Ferret peninsula with a view of the Dune of Pilat, the tallest sand dune in Europe.Lunch in a restaurant near the sea then guided visit of the seaside resort Arcachon, its villas, its history, its recent developments, and a walk on the Dune of Pilat. Back to the hotel, dinner and night.

DAY4 : HISTORIC SAINTEMILION & TASTING

Departure from the hotel after breakfast for a guided discovery of a great wine capital of the world: Saint-Emilion. In order to understand the history and growth of the town, follow your guide through small alleys and secret passageways, from the cloisters of the collegiate church to the ramparts, discover Saint-Emilion otherwise. of the monolithic Trinity church are included in your visit. After the tour, some free time until lunch. Local cuisine and Saint-Emilion unite so that you can discover the pleasure of harmony between food and wine. The lunch includes : hors d'oeuvre, main course, desert, coffee and two glasses of local wine…. After the meal, for the delight of the eyes, explore the landscapes of the Jurisdiction of Saint-Emilion, rated under cultural landscapes as a World

Heritage Site by UNESCO in December 1999. During a bus trip your guide will explain the characteristics of the Saint-Emilion vineyard, its history, its chateaux, its vines and the know-how of its wine-makers. Meeting with a winegrower, symbol of the living aspect of wine production, and to stimulate your taste buds a tasting is of course on the program ! Back to the hotel after the libations.

JOUR 5 : PORTS DES CALLONGES & VITREZAY – CRUISE FROM THE GROTTOS OF MESCHERS TALMONTSUR GIRONDE - CHATEAU DE BEAULON

Morning departure for the emblematic places on the banks of the Gironde estuary, the ports Callonges and Vitrezay. Lots of light for photo enthusiasts, with picturesque scenes of square-nets, those famous square fishing nets, suspended from carrelets (fishing huts on stilts). Continued by a visit to the gardens of the chateau de Beaulon, a walk into another time. Hidden away in the heart of a romantic grove, the unreal blue waters of the Fountains seem to appear and disappear. Their names are Fairy Mirror, Fountain of the Red Hand, Serene Fountains … Arrival in Mortagne for lunch then a boat trip starting from Meschers along the famous cliffs and grottos that dot the coast. Back on land, guided tour of Talmont sur Gironde, a village of low houses and tiny streets where hollyhocks bloom. Sainte-Radegonde church overlooking the Gironde is without a doubt the most renowned postcard of the Saintonge region. Back to the hotel, dinner and night.

DAY6 : BACK TO YOUR HOME

Departure for your home after breakfast.
